Colleen M. Foster is the founding partner, principal and chief inspiration officer of Colleen M. Foster & Associates, established in 2000.
As an imaginative, energetic, entrepreneurial business management and marketing professional, she has a broad range of competencies in operations, marketing, sales, channel management, communications and public relations.
She possesses a unique ability to be a strategic thinker, as well as being a strong implementer.
With significant international experience, and an ability to perform and communicate in a variety of environments, she has demonstrated success driving growth in targeted markets through strong leadership skills and implementation of key projects.
Ms. Foster honed her business management and marketing skills during an energizing career at 3M, holding a variety of international and domestic positions in business management, strategic planning, corporate marketing and communications, sales, as well as successfully managing the operational sides of several businesses.
She has successful implementation experience in both multi-national corporations and small businesses, and has pioneered a broad range of entrepreneurial activities.
In 2012 she developed and launched a proprietary marketing methodology called "Listen-Now" Audits.*
Currently much of Ms.Foster's professional time is dedicated to project development in Minnesota, Northern California and Asia.
She has lived, worked and studied in Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Indonesia and currently is based in Minneapolis. Her personal interest is culinary research, studying the relationship between food, culture and travel.
Ms. Foster holds a Masters Degree in International Marketing, Applied Statistics, and Japanese from Thunderbird, Graduate School of International Management and received SFP credentials in the Sustainable Facilites program at the University of Minnesota/IFMA in 2012.
She has studied at the Culinary Institute of America, the Cordon Bleu in Paris, and earned a certificate in culinary arts from Arts Institutes International, as well as pursuing professional development on an ongoing basis in B2B marketing, social media, and customer segmentation.
She was past chair of the IACP- (International Association of Culinary Professionals) Entrepreneurs group and has also served on the boards of several food and education organizations in a variety of leadership positions.
